History

After graduating from St. Louis University School of Dentistry and serving three years in the Navy, Dr. J. Richard Landgraf started practicing dentistry in Dellwood, Missouri in 1956. He moved the practice to its current location, in Florissant at Rue St. Catherine and New Florissant Road, in 1980.

Dr. John Landgraf joined his father's practice in 1978, after his graduation from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine. He assumed management of the office in 1988, when his father retired. The legacy of friendly, personal service begun by Dr. J. Richard Landgraf fifty years ago lives on in our family-oriented practice today.

Kathy,

Clinic Director

I was a patient of Dr. Landgraf's for six years prior to joining his team in January of 2007. I believe that my "patient" experience gives me a unique perspective in the practice. As Clinic Director, I have the pleasure of making sure everything in the office runs smoothly and that everyone is treated at a high level of excellence. Since joining the team at Florissant Dental Services, I've become a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers, and was spot-lighted with Dr. Langraf in a cover article for a national industry magazine. I consider myself very lucky to have a position that combines my business management skills with the opportunity to help every person that walks into our office.

Heather,Heather

Operative Team Leader

I began my career as a dental assistant in 1993, and joined Dr. Landgraf's practice in 1999. In an effort to provide all of our patients with the highest quality of care, I was certified by the Missouri Dental Association in 2000 as an expanded functions assistant. Dr. Landgraf continues to support my education and training, and I am always striving to provide the most current and most comforting care for our patients.

Anne,

Hygiene Team Leader

I joined Dr. Landgraf's practice in July 2006. I enjoy assisting Dr. Landgraf, the hygienists and working with patients. As the other assistants in the office, I am certified by the Missouri Dental Association and will ensure your visit here will be comfortable and friendly. This year I became the Team Leader of the Hygiene Department. I am very excited about this opportunity to make your appointment flow as smoothly as possible.

Jocelyn,

Front Desk Team Leader

As a young person trying to decide what career choice to make, I found my true niche is in dentistry. People may think that a front desk receptionist at a dental office just answers the phone and checks out patients, but there is so much more to it! Besides being the first person patient’s see or talk to, I help them get the most out of their insurance benefits and understand the treatment that the Doctor recommends. I’m really excited to be at Florissant Dental Services in my new career.

Beth,

Assistant Restorative Team Lead

Expanded Functions

Dental Assistant

Nothing is as rewarding as raising my five kids, but everyday I feel rewarded working with a great team that cares so much about their patients! I've been in the dental field as an assistant and trainer for 14 years, and pride myself in understanding what my patients want and meeting that need with compassion. Come in and let me help you get that healthy, beautiful smile.

Alicia,

Registered Dental Hygienist

I pride myself on being someone who understands the value of hard work and team work.   I see the reward that comes from this not only as a member of the team at Florissant Dental Services, but in my off time when I’m playing Volleyball and Kickball, or refereeing Jr. High and High school games.  In 2008, when I became a registered dental hygienist, I knew that I would be providing a valuable medical service to my patients.  I love that I get to interact with my patients, get to know them and their families, and see to it that they have healthy beautiful smiles.  My continued membership in the American Dental Hygienists Association can assure my patients that I am up to date on the latest techniques and technology too.

Julie,

Registered Dental Hygienist

Since my experience of going through orthodontics when I was younger, I learned how important a healthy smile is to one’s confidence and self esteem.  Giving that confidence to other people is what inspired me to enter the field of dentistry.  I worked my way through school by working as a receptionist and as an assistant, giving me the unique understanding of all facets of a dental office.  Now I am a hygienist on the team here at Florissant Dental Services, I can put my experience and knowledge to work to help you have a great healthy smile!

Expanded Functions

Dental Assistant

I have been a dental assistant since 1998. Dr. Landgraf and his team invited me to join them in 2008. Since then I have taken several courses to attain the title of Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. It's important to me to stay on top of the latest techniques and develop my skills so that every patient has a beautiful smile for their lifetime.  I am proud to member of such a great team, and gladly entrust the dental care of my family to Dr. Landgraf and my co-workers.

Kristy,

Dental Assistant

Until recently becoming a Dental Assistant, I have worked in the customer service industry.  I worked very hard to earn my degree and Dental Assisting certificate, so I can combine my customer service experience with my technical skills.  For me, it’s not just about giving you a healthy, beautiful smile; it’s also about making your appointment at Florissant Dental Services something you look forward to instead of dreading.

Christy,

Front Desk/ Patient Advocate

As the mother of two growing children, I know what it’s like to do a million things at once!  I joined the team at Florissant Dental Services in 2010, and use this skill every day.  I love that I get to use my experience both in the dental world and in life, and my compassion to help people.  Just like raising my kids, I want our patients to feel like I am on their side. I can get you in quickly if you have an emergency, or provide you with the many options we have when it comes to taking care of your teeth AND your pocketbook!
